Doors Open Peterborough

Doors Open Peterborough is a city-wide event in which private and public heritage buildings open their doors (either physically or digitally) to the public for viewing for free. Funded by the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (PACAC), Peterborough’s event is part of Doors Open Ontario in partnership with the Ontario Heritage Trust, and is a great opportunity for community engagement and education about our built heritage.

Following the theme of "Design and Adaptive Reuse", Doors Open Peterborough will be held in person on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come see how once shuttered or underutilized historic buildings in Peterborough have gained new life as something completely different – or vastly improved – and contributed to a more sustainable future.

Heritage Hunt

The Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee launches an annual Heritage Hunt each Spring/Summer. Small groups and individuals had a chance to test their knowledge of Peterborough’s architecture, and prizes were awarded for the correct identification of the most architectural elements on the clue sheet.
