Ontario 55+ Games postponed

The Ontario 55+ Summer Games planned for August 2020 have been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Province is asking the City of Peterborough to consider hosting the rescheduled Games next year.

The Ontario 55+ Summer Games is a celebration of active living. Hosted annually, alternating between Winter and Summer, the Games bring together people 55 years of age or older for competition and camaraderie.

The Games Ontario Program is operated under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport as part of its efforts to support amateur sport, physical activity and community development in the province. The Ontario 55+ Games are delivered in partnership with the Ontario Senior Games Association 55+.

Volunteer applications are currently closed.

PACHI's look

PACHI’s Games Ontario job comes with the Games Ontario look. His white hat and wristbands feature the Games Ontario logo, modelled on the iconic Ontario trillium and highlighted with coloured ripples of red, green, and blue:

  • Red represents “inspiration” and it's Games Ontario’s official colour
  • Green represents “opportunity”
  • Blue represents “community”
