North End and Trent University Area Class Environmental Assessment

The City of Peterborough has initiated a comprehensive Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) to study infrastructure improvements in the City's north end to accommodate planned growth.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to meet in person with members of the community. So that anyone who is interested can help inform the next steps, we are providing an advanced look at some of the work completed so far. Concerns and ideas gathered from this update will help to inform the design options for roadways, intersections, active transportation facilities, stormwater management infrastructure, sewage infrastructure and mitigation measures for all of the projects. Cost estimates, effects to private property and an evaluation of design options, along with preliminary designs for the preliminary preferred options will be prepared. When we are able to, an open house will be planned for community members to discuss the project progress, design options and recommendations with members of the project team.

We encourage anyone with concerns, questions or ideas on the project to send an email to the project team.
