Where is Peterborough Airport located?

Peterborough Airport (CYPQ) is located at 925 Airport Road, approximately 8 kilometres south of downtown Peterborough, Ontario. The airport terminal building and restaurant are located at 590 Skyway Drive, Peterborough, Ontario, K9J 0E7.

What are Peterborough Airport's operating hours?

The Airport is operational 24 hours per day, 365 days per year (the Airport is unstaffed, and the terminal building is closed on Christmas Day). Stewart Aviation, the Fixed Base Operator, operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and provides after-hours call-out service.

Airport operations staff is onsite daily from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. from April 1 to September 30, and 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily from October 1 to March 31. Airport staff and maintenance services are available outside of normal hours of operations on a call-out, cost-recovery basis.

Services and Amenities

What parking options are available at the airport?

The airport offers parking for short-term and long-term use. The parking is located adjacent to the terminal building. Please note parking long term parking fees apply after 7 days of parking. Vehicles using the lot for over one week are charged a weekly rate of $35.00.

Is there a restaurant at Peterborough Airport?

Yes, The Good Baker YPQ is situated in the terminal serving breakfast, lunch, and a selection of pastries. It is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Are there any flight schools located at YPQ that can provide me with flight training?

Yes, Peterborough Airport (YPQ) is home to reputable flight schools that offer a range of flight training programs, including Aerotrike Aviation, Canadian M.A.P Aviation, Seneca Polytechnic, and W.M. Aeroflight. These schools provide training for private pilot licenses, commercial pilot licenses, instrument ratings, and other specialized aviation courses.
