Peterborough Air Show presented by Ricart Promotions and Recognition

Ricart LogoPeterborough Airport celebrated its 50 year anniversary with an Air Show featuring the most exciting lineup of aerial demonstrations that Peterborough has seen in decades.

“We are thrilled with the line-up of performances we assembled to celebrate the Airport’s 50th anniversary,” said Airport General Manager Trent Gervais. “There really was something for everyone – from heart-stopping excitement to graceful manoeuvres and everything in between."

The two-day show drew thousands of spectators to the Peterborough Airport. The show profiled the Airport's thriving aeronautical business park which includes over 20 businesses. Aerial acts and static displays inspired the next generation of pilots.

The RCAF CF-18 Demo Team thrills audiences worldwide with power, speed and precision. The CF-188 Hornet is a multipurpose, high-performance twin-engine fighter with a top speed of mach 1.8 - that's over 2000 kilometres per hour.

Great War Flying Museum presents four full-scale, authentic replicas of aircraft flown during WWI to show the speeds, sights and sounds of flight 100 years ago; a Sopwith 1 ½ Strutter, a Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a, a Fokker DR1 tri-plane and a Nieuport 28.

Vendor Village

Airshow guests could grab a bite at Kroes Croquettes, Kawartha Dairy, Reggie’s Hot Grill, Poutine Supreme, Jesse’s Tap & Grill, Ben’s Kettle Corn, McFarlane’s Hot Dog Cart, A Taste of Russia, Kawartha Lakes Fried Chicken, or La Mesita Restaurante & Catering.

BWXT, WSP, Kadex, Loomex, Canadian Armed Forces, the Peterborough Utilities Group water cart, 2020 Ontario 55+ Summer Games, City of Peterborough Transportation, Peterborough Humane Society, Garden’s and Fields, Canadian Red Cross, and Peterborough Petes located in the Vendor Village as well.

Static Displays

Spetators enjoyed number of attractions ranging from helicopter and unique military aircraft, to local aviation enthusiasts and businesses showcasing their aircraft, as well as a large interactive military display.
