Emergency Volunteers

Volunteering is a valuable part of a healthy community. With your help, we can be better prepared to quickly and efficiently respond to a large-scale emergency or disaster. Please consider registering as a volunteer who we can call upon during an emergency.

United Way logoThe United Way, in partnership with the City and County of Peterborough, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough Public Health, and the Peterborough County-City Paramedics, manages an Emergency Volunteer Registry. The program tracks, manages, and assigns volunteer services where they can be best utilized during an emergency.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please read the Expectations and Standards of Conduct document, answer the questions on the Volunteer Self-Assessment, then complete the Emergency Volunteer Registry Application and the Release of Information Form. Please send the application and release form to the United Way following the directions on page 4 of the application.
