Job Details

Under the direction of the Manager – Waste Diversion Section, the Waste Diversion Student will provide assistance to Waste Diversion Section personnel in the areas of public education and promotion to City residents and business pertaining to proper recycling sortation. Additional general department duties, including blue box/ composter sales to residents and supply management through third party (i.e. GreenUp). Additional (secondary) support to other department(s) within Environmental Services (i.e. WWTF) on an as needed basis.          

Qualifications

Knowledge and experience normally associated with enrolment in a College Diploma or a University degree program in Biology, Environmental Science, Geography or similar discipline. Knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel and Word is required.  Required to comply with all Health and Safety and Municipal policies. Good organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Hourly Rate

$19.78
