The Recreation Facility Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of Recreation facilities operations as assigned including City owned Arenas, Community Centres, Aquatics and Seasonal Facilities. They lead in the recruitment, supervision, training and scheduling of assigned facilities operations staff, ensuring effective and efficient facility operations. They support Recreation Facility Services Manager in the development of all facility emergency procedures and plans for the Division.
Qualifications
This position requires a 3-year university/college degree/diploma in Facility Management, Business Administration or equivalent. Experience must include a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in municipal or public sector facilities management, including experience with Arena and/or Pool operations and working in unionized environments; Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Electrical Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Public Health, CSA, Technical Standards and Safety Authority and various governing regulations. Current training and certification in Standard First Aid, Level “C” CPR, AED, WHMIS, and Occupational Health and Safety. Certified Ice Technician, Certified Pool Operator or equivalent ORFA designations would be considered an asset.
Requires proven interpersonal and communication skills; excellent leadership and supervisory skills; organizational skills; the ability to oversee minor capital projects; and the ability to interpret and apply collective agreements and to achieve positive labour relations. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Must have a good working knowledge of Office 365 and database systems such as Financial (SAP), Building Automation, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Position requires a valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license to fulfil the requirements of the position.
Salary - $89,910 - $98,278
