Recreation Facility Attendant

Job Details
The Recreation Facility Attendant will assist in recreation facility operations including janitorial and maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, facility booking set up, garbage removal, restocking of supplies, and light cleaning. This position provides on-site support to facility users by handling general inquiries, resolving conflicts, troubleshooting building issues, and assisting those clients with facility bookings such as rentals and special events. This position is part-time casual (24 hours or less weekly).
Qualifications
We require individuals who have a minimum Grade 12 education along with a valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license. Candidates must have a minimum 2-year on the job related experience in facility maintenance. Excellent communication and conflict management skills are a must. Training and experience in Microsoft office (Outlook/Word/Excel), WHMIS 2015, Health and Safety and/or Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certification would be considered a definite asset.
Candidates must be prepared to provide a clear driver’s abstract and a satisfactory current Police Criminal Record Check from a Canadian Police Information Centre. Candidates must have the ability to perform the physical demands of the position which could include but are not limited to climbing, standing, sitting and lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
