Job Details

Provide front-line customer service related to the operations and services of the Public works Division.  Serve as the first line of contact for customer service enquiries related to roads, sidewalks, parks, forestry, sewers, and solid waste.  Maintain various databases and other electronic tools to track service requests. Provide general administrative support within the Division, as requested by the Public Works Office Supervisor.


Knowledge and experience normally associated with a high school diploma plus additional college courses in office administration or related field and a combination of up to 2 years previous or on-the-job related experience. Must have advanced level in word processing, spreadsheet and database software; presentation software an asset; have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate a number of tasks at one time; and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be a team player with a commitment to quality customer service.

Hourly Rate of Pay

$27.11 - $28.77
