Job Details

Issue bid documents and support compliance of the City’s Procurement by-law. Administer the City’s e-procurement software. Provide administrative support to the Financial Services division. This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Services.


Knowledge and experience normally associated with a three-year college diploma in a business-related field and 2 years related experience. Completion of, or willingness to complete Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA) Principles Certificate Program. Must demonstrate attention to detail, have accurate data entry skills and have advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Acrobat Adobe and e-procurement software, such as Bids & Tenders.  Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams preferred. Must have advanced organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate a number of concurrent tasks. Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to build effective relationships within the corporation and to be able to work both collaboratively with client divisions and independently. Must have the ability to identify inconsistencies or errors in staff reports, as well as bid documents, to mitigate procurement risk. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be a team player with a commitment to quality service.


$57,383.01 - $60,385.83 (2019 rates)
