The Legislative Services department includes five Divisions as follows:

City Clerk's Office
City Clerk's Office activities include providing support for Council and Advisory Committee meetings such as agendas and minutes, records retention and information and privacy coordination for the Corporation, business licensing and permits, marriage licences and ceremonies, and document commissioning.
Legal Services
Legal Services provides legal services to the Corporation of the City of Peterborough, undertakes municipal and certain provincial prosecutions in Ontario Court of Justice, and provides Screening Officer functions.
