Job Details
The Junior Leader will plan and implement a weekly curriculum of stimulating educational age appropriate activities for school age children enrolled in a City of Peterborough School Age Program. They also provide a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment showing sensitivity to the individual needs of the children in all aspects of development.
Qualifications
Requires a two-year college diploma in Early Childhood Education and be a registered member of the College of Early Childhood Education. Requires a combination of three to six months’ previous and on-the-job experience. Must have Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR certifications. The successful individual will have well developed organizational and leadership skills. They must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with children, parents and colleagues and have the ability to handle emergencies in a calm and professional manner. The successful candidate must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player committed to quality customer service.
Hourly Rate
$26.05 - $27.80
