How Do I Apply?
We receive thousands of job applications each year and have a standard process of handling applications to make sure we evaluate all candidates in a fair, equitable manner. Here are some frequently asked questions by our job applicants.
If I see a job I want to apply to, how can I get my resume to the People and Culture Division? |
Resumes can be sent to us by mail, fax, e-mail, in person or via our online application system that is available in the job postings (in some cases). The competition number must be specified on the resume or cover letter. Please submit your application using one method only. People and Culture Division |
Can I send in my resume at any time? |
The People and Culture Division will only accept resumes in response to current advertised positions. We do not keep unsolicited resumes on file. |
Can I send in one resume for more than one file? |
You are welcome to apply for more than one of our jobs at the same time, however a separate resume must be sent for each position you are applying for. Make sure that the competition number is specified on the resume or cover letter. |
Will someone contact me to let me know that my resume has been received? |
No. Only those candidates who are selected for an interview will be contacted. You may contact us by phone 705-742-7777, extension 1875 if you want to confirm that your resume was received. |
Is there a cut-off date for sending resumes? |
Yes. Each job advertisement indicates a closing date, which is the final day for submitting your application for that position. Applications will be welcomed up to 12 p.m. (noon) on the closing date. |
How do I request a disability-related accommodation in the recruitment process? |
If you require an accommodation for the recruitment process, please advise the People and Culture Consultant when you are contacted for an interview. They will work with you to determine how best to accommodate you. |
If you have any further questions that are not answered in this document, please contact the People and Culture Division at 705-742-7777, extension 1875.
