Community Sustainability Plan

The City of Peterborough is taking action on our Community Sustainability Plan. The plan looks 25 years into the future to see what kind of place we would like to live in. We're trying to balance the needs of the environment, society, culture and economy.

Energy, climate change, water, economic development and employment, waste, transportation and land use planning are among the themes in the Community Sustainability Plan.

The Sustainable Peterborough Progress Report 2012 to 2017 highlights progress focusing specifically on the advancements made in the community toward the Sustainable Peterborough Plan priority actions. The results show that we can make measurable steps toward balancing prosperity, well-being and nature.
