Local Celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Mayor Daryl Bennett has proclaimed Sunday, December 3, 2017 as International Day of Persons with Disabilities in the City of Peterborough. This special day draws attention to the benefits of an inclusive and accessible society for all.

The local celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities is on Friday, December 1, 2017 and will focus on the accessibility of Peterborough Transit.

Hosted by the City of Peterborough Accessibility Advisory Committee, in partnership with the Peterborough Transit Division and the City’s Accessibility Office, the event will feature the launch of a new informational video about Peterborough Transit that was developed in conjunction with Peterborough Youth Commission and the Peterborough Youth Council.

All are welcome. The event will be at the Peterborough Transit Terminal to enable transitriders to easily join in.
