Tennis Programs

The City of Peterborough, Recreation Division is pleased to offer many Instructional Tennis Programs this spring, summer and fall.  The Recreation Division has partnered with the Quaker Park Tennis Club to instruct the following exceptional programs.  Registration for spring & summer programs is available now.  Simply click on the "Register Now" button below to register online!

Le Petit TennisTennis Camp
This is an instructional program for children ages 3 to 5 that promotes motor skill development and teaches the fundamentals needed to begin playing tennis.  The kids will get a half hour lesson using special kids nets and soft sponge tennis balls on a play area smaller and less intimidating than a regulation court.  This program is offered in the spring, summer and fall sessions.

Mini Tennis Program 
This program is for children ages 5 to 9, teaches tennis basics and promotes skills progression. Above all, enjoying the game and having fun is the priority.  This program is offered in the summer session.

Junior Tennis Instruction
This program accepts children over a wide age range (5 to 16) and improves all skill levels.  Children are grouped by age range as well as skill level, ensuring that they receive appropriate instruction.  This program is offered in the spring and fall sessions.

Junior Tennis Camp
This half day camp for youth ages 9 to 16 will develop hand-eye coordination, teach basic stroke skills and introduce the fun of game play.  Players will be grouped according to experience and skill levels with each group having separate instructors.  All groups will further develop strokes, including serves and learn offensive and defensive strategies for more competitive play.  This camp is offered in the summer session. Health & Information Form - Must complete for all summer camp registrations.
