Heritage Events

Heritage events are coordinated each year by the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee.

Heritage Trade Show
On Saturday April 27, the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee will be hosting a heritage trade show  to connect tradespeople who work on heritage buildings with owners of heritage properties throughout the City. Owners of heritage properties are invited to attend this free drop-in event which is being held between 10 am and 4 pm at St. James United Church (221 Romaine Street).

The Heritage Preservation Office will also be holding short seminars throughout the day to advise owners of heritage properties about the alteration application process and heritage grant program.

The Committee is currently looking for tradespeople interested in participating in the show. Those interested in participating must have experience working on heritage buildings and are asked to fill out and return the Heritage Trade Show Application Form by March 22, 2019. There is a $15 fee to participate.

In 2019, Doors Open Peterborough will take place on Saturday May 4, from 10 am to 4 pm and feature an exciting range of sites across the city. The day will feature site visits, walking tours, and free rides on a town trolley. All sites will offer free admissions and many will feature guided tours and information about the site's history.
