How do I get a Building Permit?
Building permit applications may be filed in person at the Building Division, City Hall. Your completed application should be accompanied by two sets of building plans (prepared by a qualified designer when required by the Ontario Building Code), two copies of your property survey or site plan and the application permit fee. I have large amounts of mulch/green waste. Where can I dispose of it?
Large amounts of mulch/green waste can be taken to the Landfill Site and left in the green waste bins provided.

Where can I get a City Map?
Maps for the City of Peterborough are available through Geomatics/Mapping. Standard City Maps (Transit, Official Plans, Landmarks, etc...) can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat on the Geomatics/Mapping website.  Wall Maps, Custom Maps or Digital Map Data can be requested/printed by contacting: Mike MacLean, Geomatics/Mapping Manager.

Canada Mortgage and Housing has programs for low income homeowners and the disabled to make improvements to their homes. For the City of Peterborough and Peterborough, Northumberland, Victoria counties and Durham Region (excluding the City of Oshawa) the agent is WIGWAMEN Non-Profit Residential Corp. at 705-876-6282 or Toll Free at 1-877-803-0222.
