Beavermead Campground
With such pleasant scenery and so many outdoor activities, it is no wonder camping is so popular in the Peterborough area. Beavermead Campground is a family campground and day-use area that is owned and operated by the City of Peterborough. Sir John A Macdonald once owned the property where Beavermead stands. According to rumour, Sir John named the property Beavermead because Beaver Creek and Meades Creek flow through the property. Located on beautiful Little Lake in the heart of Peterborough, Beavermead Campground has 98 sites, 46 un-serviced sites and 52 serviced for you to enjoy.|

Whether you like swimming, fishing, site seeing or are just looking for some relaxation Beavermead has something for you. You can enjoy the sandy beach on the shores of Little Lake, great fishing for bass, walleye, perch, musky. Important Notices
- Peterborough Triathlon - Sunday July 4, 2010 - Please note that Ashburnham Road is closed from Beavermead Park Campgrounds to Lansdowne Street from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Alternative route for travelers from Hwy 7 to the Campgrounds is north on Television Road, west on Maniece Ave., then south on Ashburnham. Campers are encouraged to arrive early and stay late to avoid traffic. Beavermead Park Campgrounds apologizes in advance for any inconvenience.
- National Wakeboard Championships – Thursday to Sunday, August 26-29, 2010 - Please note that the beach at Beavermead Park is closed to the general public. Only persons with a Wakeboard Championship pass will be allowed in the beach area. The Campgrounds remains open during this event.
