Nominations for the 2017 Gordon and Arbie Holnbeck Award are open until Friday, April 28, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.

This is an excellent opportunity to recognize the achievements of volunteers who have enhanced the quality of life for people with disabilities. Please nominate a volunteer who you feel is deserving of this award. The nomination form is available online at: www.peterborough.ca/accessibility and at the reception/information desk at City Hall, 500 George Street North.

A committee, with representation from the Peterborough and County Disaster Trust Fund Committee, the City of Peterborough, the County of Peterborough, the Council for Persons with Disabilities, the Peterborough Accessibility Advisory Committee, and the joint Township of Selwyn and County of Peterborough Accessibility Advisory Committee will oversee the nomination and selection process.

The Holnbeck Award will be presented at a ceremonial presentation at the beginning of the Council Meeting on Monday, June 5, 2017 in the Council Chambers at Peterborough City Hall.

A media release was distributed April 19, 2017 to remind residents of the April 28, 2017 nomination deadline
