Notice of Public Open House: Lighting a Section of the Rotary Greenway Trail Link

Event date: Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Location: City Hall, Doris Room, 500 George Street North

The ProjectTrail Lighting Map POH March 15 2017

The City has received a donation, through the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough, to provide lighting along the Rotary Greenway Trail link, between Water Street and the Rotary Greenway Trail to the east. The donor has requested that the Project be as sustainable as possible, including consideration of low energy technology and use of renewable energy to power the system. The City of Peterborough has contracted Barry Electric to design, supply and install the lighting for this project. The design includes low energy LED lighting and low maintenance fixtures. Ground mounted poles are being used to reduce impact on the trail and the trees adjacent to it. The bridge will be lit with taller poles (23’) mounted with directional LED fixtures at each end of the bridge. Further details about the design of the lighting for the trail are on the City website.

More information is on the Transportation page.
