Temporary Closure of Simcoe Parking Garage

The Simcoe Parking Garage will be closed from July 8, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. to July 17, 2016 at 11:00 p.m. to complete necessary repairs. All vehicles must be removed from the garage prior to the closure.

Accessible parking will be available in the surface lot at the east end of Simcoe Parking Garage behind the "Whiskey Club Bar" at the Simcoe Street entrance. Accessible parking permits are required.

In attempt to minimize the disruption to patrons, this phase of construction is scheduled in July to coincide with vacation schedules, when demand for parking spaces tends to be lower. The contractor will also be working extra hours and over the weekends to minimize the length of the full garage closure.

Monthly pass holders may use their Simcoe parking pass to park at the King Street Parkade or to ride any Peterborough Transit bus for free during the closure. In order to alleviate congestion at the King Street Parkade, the Parking Division has relocated City staff parking to alternate parking lots.

For more details, please call the Parking Division at 705-742-7777 extension 2802.
