Ground Breaking Ceremony: Cameron Street Tot Lot Receives New Playground Equipment

Event date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 10:30 AM
Location: Cameron Street Tot Lot

The City of Peterborough Arenas, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the ground breaking ceremony Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. for a new playground structure to be installed at Cameron Street Tot Lot in the south end of Peterborough.

Funding for this project is a result of a community-based partnership between the East Peterborough Lions Club, Grace United Church, Peterborough Housing, Mercedes Benz, Kidz Karnival, Cameron Street Neighbourhood Association and the Arenas, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (APRAC). For more than 25 years, APRAC has supported community based
partnerships such as the one to be announced on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 10:30 am at the official ground breaking ceremony.

The community benefits tremendously when organizations like the partners listed above take charge of their recreational needs and actively work to ensure their implementation in partnership with the City of Peterborough. The children of Cameron Street will benefit for many years to come from this play structure project through creative play and in the
development of gross motor and social skills.
