Lifelong Learning

Lifelong Learning 2Lifelong learning can enhance our understanding of the world around us, provide us with more and better opportunities and improve our quality of life.

Learning for its own sake brings its own advantages:

  • Boosts our confidence and self-esteem
  • Makes us less risk averse and more adaptable to change when it happens
  • Helps us achieve a more satisfying personal life
  • Challenges our ideas and beliefs
  • Can be fun
  • Is suitable for all ages and abilities

Did you know? Acquiring a new skill or developing an existing one can help improve and maintain our mental well being.Lifelong learning is also a great way to make new friends; studies have shown that those with more active social lives are twice as likely to outlive those who lead solitary lives.
