Skating on the Canal

During the winter months there is skating available on the Trent Severn Waterway at the Trent Canal. Please call Public Works to find out if the ice conditions are safe 745-1386 or 745-1387.

Tim Horton’s Free Holiday Skate

Every year in December and January, Tim Horton’s sponsors skating at over 350 arenas in hundreds of communities across Canada. It's a great opportunity for families to enjoy some quality time together during the holidays.

Girls Walk ‘n’ Talk

Girls Walk 'n' Talk is a time for girls and young women to get together, talk, get some exercise and make new friends. This group will be getting together once or twice a week for walks around the city and topic conversations related to issues faced by girls today. Snacks will be provided. Baseball

Bring your baseball bat, ball, and glove, and check out any of the baseball diamonds in the city. Ball Diamonds are located at:

• many of the local school parks
• Westclox on Armour Road

Lacrosse

If you and your friends are in the mood to play lacrosse head over to the Knights of Columbus Park to the Lacrosse Bowl on Park Street South located near Chamberlain Street.

Frisbee Golf

Located right next to the Peterborough Riverview Park and Zoo. This is a great free activity for the whole family. Bring your Frisbee and play the 9-hole course. The game is played by the same rules as golf but instead of hitting the ball into the hole, you throw the Frisbee into a specially designed basket.
