Ecology Park
The Ecology Park has a collection of displays that demonstrate many different approaches to good land stewardship. The Ecology Garden is the "teaching hub" of the park and contains a variety of other theme areas. The following are exciting and education areas that a person can observe:

Peterborough Green-Up
Peterborough Green Up is a community bases, non profit environmental organization whose mission is to "enhance environmental health in the Peterborough region by interpreting environmental concerns, facilitating positive action and providing service recognized as valuable by the community". Peterborough Green-Up has achieved both national and provincial recognition for their programs. Current activities include:

Peterborough and Area Master Gardeners
This group is a volunteer group made up of expert gardeners from Peterborough and the surrounding region. Their objective is to promote gardening and to assist gardeners. For more information call 705-741-4905 or check out thier website at www.peterboroughgardens.ca
Peterborough Community Garden Network
The PCGN is a group of committee garden enthusiasts who together advocate for the increased presence of community gardens in the City and County of Peterborough. They seek to connect people with land and create conditions for gardeners and communities to flourish.
