HIGHLIGHTS
- Acceptable Lifts are 22kg (50lbs) in weight and less than 1m (3ft) in length. Anything larger than these limits are considered a large article.
- Double bag your pet waste and ensure that it does not exceed 25% of the volume of the garbage lift.
- Oops Stickers are now being used to notify residents that article is too large for weekly collection service
- Next large article collection event is Sept 20, 2010. Tags must be purchased by Friday Sept 17, 2010.
Set Out Instructions
- Households may set out a maximum of 2 garbage "lifts" every week (See Acceptable Lift).
- There is a limit of four containers per week for Commercial garbage.
- This limit is doubled for the week immediately following Christmas.
- Additional bags will be tagged and left behind.
- Do not "over stuff" your garbage can with multiple garbage bags. Overflowing garbage cans do not meet the definition of one lift.
- Prior to collection, remove bungee cords or bricks.
- Garbage not collected must be removed from the curb by 8:00 p.m. on your collection day.
