Hilliard Street Detours - Starting April 23, 2012

Effective April 23 and until further notice, Route 1 - George North and Route 2 - Chemong Road will be rerouted due to the construction on Hilliard Street.  The routes will be rerouted as follows:

Route 1 - George North

Outbound Trip - Transit Terminal to Trent University, Bata Library

• Normal outbound to Royal Drive, temporary stop provided at Marina Blvd and Royal Drive
• Right turn on Royal Drive to Cumberland Ave, then normal route to Trent University, Bata Library

Inbound Trip - Trent University to Transit Terminal

• Regular route to Franklin Drive
• Left on Franklin Drive to Cumberland Avenue
• Right on Cumberland Ave to Royal Drive, temporary stop added at Cumberland Ave and Royal Drive
• Right on Royal Drive to Marina Blvd
• Left on Marina Blvd and normal route to Transit Terminal from there

Route 2 - Chemong Road

Outbound Trip - Transit Terminal to Wal-Mart

• Regular route to St. Paul's Street at Barnardo Ave.
• Left on Barnardo Ave. to Bellevue St.
• Right on Bellevue St. to Chemong Road
  
• Right on Chemong Road to Wal-Mart

Inbound Trip - Wal-Mart to Transit Terminal

• Normal route to Towerhill Road and Milroy Drive
• Left on Towerhill Road to Chemong Road
• Left on Chemong Road to Bellevue Street
• Regular route to the Terminal from there

Route 5 Changed in Vicinity of Hospital

Now that the Hospital Access Road is open,  Route 5 has changed in the vicinity of the hospital.  This map shows the new route.  Alexander Ave. is now terminated at Alexander Court and Alexander Court is extended east to intersect the new Hospital Access Road. Route # 5 outbound now loops through the hospital from the front door stop south to Alexander Court then turns east to access the Hospital Access Road.  From there, the bus turns right (south) to Sherbrooke Street, then right (west) to Goodfellow Road to pick up original routing.

There will be a new transit stop at the stop sign at Alexander Dr and Alexander Court and another across from the old shelter stop at Extendicare. With the change, Route # 5 will no longer service the stop at the PRHC emergency entrance or the stop in front of 33 Alexander Ave.
