Frequently Asked Questions

To get to the hospital (Peterborough Regional Health Centre), take either the Route 5 - Charlotte West bus or the Route 4 - Jackson Park bus. The Rogers St. site is served by the Route 9 - Nicholls Park and the Route 11 - Ashburnham buses.

All regular routes are served on Sundays from 8 am to 7 pm.  Bus frequency is the same as the rest of the week, every 40 minutes.  Trent Express buses operate on Sundays from September through to April.

The Route 2 Chemong Road bus will take you to Walmart.  See the Route Schedule page for times.

Walkers and strollers are permitted on the bus and all buses on regular routes are fully accessible for wheelchairs and electric scooters.  Mobility devices such as wheelchairs and walkers have priority for accessible space on the bus over strollers.

Pets in secure pet cages are permitted.

Bicycles are NOT permitted.  There are some transit agencies that have racks for bicycles on the front of the bus.  Peterborough Transit is not able to provide these racks at this time due to the service bays being too small where the buses are serviced.

New to Transit, trying a new route or wondering when the bus comes to a certain stop?  Give us a call at 705-745-0525 and we'll be happy to help you out.
