The Community Social Plan (CSP) is a community development program that focuses on improving access and awareness of local agencies and services to residents in the City and County of Peterborough.
County Drop-in Centres
County residents are able to access our drop-in centres located in Buckhorn, Apsley, Havelock and Norwood to receive help or community service referrals. To find out more click here.
Municipality of Trent Lakes Projects
We work with the Trent Lakes Community Committee on projects that improve awareness and access to social and economic services. Examples of projects include:
- Meet Your Needs Days are events where residents have access to free clothing and household items.
- Career and Information Fairs are held in March each year to link employers with local job seekers and for agencies to provide information about their services.

The CSP has helped form the Peterborough Seniors Planning Table which is made up of local agencies, government, health care providers, educational institutions, and businesses. Our goal is to improve services to seniors and make Peterborough a more age-friendly community.
Local services and programs for seniors in the City of Peterborough can be found at: www.peterborough.ca/Seniors.
The CSP is a member of the Peterborough Community Food Network with the aim of improving food security for residents in the City and County of Peterborough. Part of this work involved the creation of a community food centre know as Nourish Peterborough.
