Peterborough Renovates Program

Applications available at the Habitat for Humanity office.

The Peterborough Renovates Program (PRP) is now available to assist low to moderate income home owners with necessary repairs, including accessibility and efficiency upgrades. Beginning on April 1, 2016 applications are available at Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & District, as funding is available.

Please be advised that funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants.

Applications will be available until September and processed as funding is available.  When funding for each year has been expended, applicants will be placed on a waiting list until more funding is available under that year's allocation.  The Federal 2016 Budget contains funding provisions which may allow the City of Peterborough to provide more loans and grants later this year.

Homeownership Assistance Loan Program

Please note that we are no longer accepting Step 1 Applications for the Homeownership Assistance Loan Program. This program helps eligible renters buy a home in the City or County of Peterborough. The Housing Division's Programs and Initiatives website provides more information.  Please be advised that funds are delivered on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible renters. 

The Federal 2016 Budget contains funding provisions which may allow the City of Peterborough to increase the number of loans later this year.
