Homeownership Assistance Loan Program
Please note that we are no longer accepting Step 1 Applications for the Homeownership Assistance Loan Program. This program helps eligible renters buy a home in the City or County of Peterborough. The Housing Division's Programs and Initiatives website provides more information. Please be advised that funds are delivered on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible renters.
Peterborough Renovates Program- Applications available on April 1, 2016 at the Habitat for Humanity office.
The Peterborough Renovates Program (PRP) is now available to assist low to moderate income home owners with necessary repairs, including accessibility and efficiency upgrades. Beginning on April 1, 2016 applications are available at Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & District, as funding is available.

Please be advised that funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants.
Applications will be available until September and processed as funding is available. When funding for each year has been expended, applicants will be placed on a waiting list until more funding is available under that year's allocation. The Federal 2016 Budget contains funding provisions which may allow the City of Peterborough to provide more loans and grants later this year.
10-year Housing and Homelessness Plan Progress Report
The Progress Report 2014 has been received by the Joint Services Steering Committee (June 11, 2015) and shared with the public. This report shows the first year's progress towards reaching the outcomes in the 10-year Housing and Homelessness Plan for Peterborough. A summary of the work plan for 2015 is presented in the Priority Action Items (Action Plan) document.

Housing is Fundamental is produced annually by the Affordable Housing Action Committee (AHAC). The document is used as a resource for the members of the community, City and County Councils, and others.

The Road Map for Housing Developers was produced in 2015 by the Affordable Housing Action Committee (AHAC). This step-by-step guide is intended for use by private and not for profit organizations as they develop quality and affordable housing for residents of Peterborough County and City.
