    Ash Tree Inventory Map

    Peterborough currently faces a threat to its public and private ash tree resource. An invasive and exotic pest known as the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has infested and killed millions of ash trees in the USA, Southern Ontario and Quebec. It is generally acknowledged as the single most destructive forest pest that has entered North America. EAB is not directly harmful to humans and is entirely specific to ash trees.

    The  City of Peterborough has determined that having maps to easily identify accessible parking, accessible washrooms in City facilities and accessible playgrounds would be beneficial to residents and visitors.

    Downtown Peterborough in 3D

    In 2013 students from the Fleming College Geomatics Department created an animated 3D model of streets within the Downtown Business Area. This model includes George Street North extending from the intersections of Brock to Charlotte Street and along Hunter Street.

The e-Maps website was developed to serve residents and visitors of the City of Peterborough. e-Maps is recommended to be viewed in Internet Explorer 9 (or higher), Chrome, Firefox or Safari.E-Maps 2.0 is currently in production.

    In 2017 students from 3C Solutions (Fleming College Geomatics Department) undertook significant quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) work on data collected in 2007 to refine the locational accuracy of current points and to correct any data inconsistencies such as missing images or incorrect monument information.

    Road Construction Application

    This application is a reference for residents, businesses and visitors to get information about City roads projects and to plan their transportation routes. The interactive map shows road construction projects throughout the City, listing project contact information, anticipated completion date and details on the type of work being performed. The map also identifies new subdivisions currently under development.
