Emergency Information

Always keep a battery-powered radio on-hand so that you can obtain emergency information in the event of a power failure.  You may also opt to purchase an AM/FM/NOAA or an ETON FX radio.  The ETON model comes with a charging outlet for smartphones.  Alternative options are also available if you google "Emergency Radio".  Once a radio has been purchased it is recommended that you tune into local stations (listed below) to ensure you are satisfied with the reception in your home.  

In the event of a threatening, imminent or actual emergency situation, tune into one of the following radio stations to receive emergency updates and instructions:

  • CKRU Fresh 100.5 FM 
  • STAR 93.3 FM
  • CKPT COUNTRY 105 FM
  • BOB 91.9 FM
  • ENERGY 99.7 FM
  • CHUC Classic Rock 107.9 FM

  • EXTRA 90.5 FM
  • CBC/Radio-Canada (Radio One Toronto 98.7 FM is broadcast in Peterborough)
