Emergency Management
In Today's world, it is critical that every municipality be prepared for potential high-risk incidents. That incident could be anything from a spring flood, to a bomb threat, a virus, an ice storm, or nuclear accident.
Peterborough is a leader in community emergency preparedness. Our Emergency Plan is up to date and our Emergency Control Group Members exercise their roles regularly.
Fire & Rescue
The Peterborough Fire and Rescue department provides emergency and support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to the citizens of the community. Our service is not confined to just fighting fires anymore, we ensure that our communities are protected in a myriad of different ways:
- CardioPulmonary Resuscitation
- First Aid/Trauma Care
- Fire & Rescue Training
- Water/Ice Rescue
- Building Inspections
- Fire Safety Education
- ...and much more!
The Peterborough Lakefield Police Services Board and the Peterborough Lakefield Community Police Service are committed to serving our community.
