About Us

Age-friendly Peterborough (AFP) is a community-based collaborative that brings together local governments, First Nations, organizations, businesses, and older adult residents with the goal of building a more inclusive, respectful, and accessible community for our aging population.

The Age-friendly Peterborough Advisory Committee (AFPAC) was created in 2017 to oversee the activities of AFP and to implement the Age-friendly Peterborough Community Action Plan.  AFPAC replaced the Peterborough Council on Aging and the Peterborough Seniors Planning Table which had a history dating back to 2008.
