The City of Peterborough has an incredibly vibrant arts, culture and heritage community with levels of activity not typically found in communities of comparable size.

 

According to the latest cultural mapping exercise, the city is home to:

• 42 heritage, education and umbrella organizations
• 142 arts and cultural organizations
• hundreds of professional cultural workers, many with provincial, national and international reputations
• over 350 local businesses relating to cultural activity

 

There is not a single individual in our community who is not touched by our local arts, culture and heritage sector in some way on a daily basis..
