Civic Award Nominations Close March 13, 2015

Civic Award nominations are accepted until 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015.  A media release provides details on how to nominate a citizen who had outstanding achievements in sports, arts culture or volunteering.


Council Agendas
The agendas are online for the March 9, 2015 meetings of Committee of the Whole (closed session) and City Council, the March 12 meetings of the Museum and Archives Advisory Committee and Arts Culture and Heritage Advisory Committee.  All Council meeting minutes and agendas are posted to the Council Calendar as soon as they become available. 

Curbside Collection of Household Batteries

The City's next curbside collection of Household batteries will take place the week of March 9-13, 2015.  Full details are provided in the media release.


Holnbeck Award Nominations

Nominations for the Gordon and Arbie Holnbeck Award will be open until Friday, April 24, 2015.  The media release provides full details.


Public Skating at the Liftlocks 2014

The City of Peterborough and the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site of Canada jointly present Public Skating at the Peterborough Liftlock.  Skating is weather permitted - please follow the indicator flags on Ashburnham Drive.  The flag is currently GREEN - skating is permitted.

Scheduled Maintenance on City's Computer Network March 8, 2015 The City of Peterborough will be performing scheduled maintenance on our computer network on Sunday, March 8, 2015. As a result, the City's website will be temporarily unavailable between 7:00p.m and 9:00p.m.
Curbside Collection for Batteries March 9-13, 2015 A curbside collection for household batteries will take place the week of March 9 to March 13, 2015 on residents’ regular blue box collection day.
Nominations for the 2014 Civic Awards Nominations for the 2014 Civic Awards will be accepted until March 13, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. The annual City of Peterborough Civic Awards recognize and honour citizens who had outstanding achievements in 2014.
Free Transit for Grade 8s Each March, all grade 8 students in the City of Peterborough are given a March Break transit pass. Learning how to ride Peterborough Transit by exploring the City helps to ready students for high school and independent travel.
