Peterborough Airport 50th Anniversary

Peterborough Airport will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an air show featuring the CF Snowbirds on September 21 and 22, 2019.


Child care refund for families

In partnership with the Provincial and Federal Governments and the Ministry of Education, the City of Peterborough is making licensed child care more affordable for families. A one-time refund for child care fees is available to families in the City and County of Peterborough.


Credit Rating affirmed at "AA" for the City of Peterborough

The City of Peterborough's bond rating agency, Standard & Poor's has affirmed the City's credit rating at "AA" with a stable outlook.

Public Open House - Chemong Road Construction Thursday, December 13, 2018 the City of Peterborough will be having a Public Open House to review the preliminary design plans and share comments on the Chemong Road Reconstruction
Council Appointments of Citizens to Boards and Committees If you are interested in serving on a City Board or Committee, you may obtain an application form at the City Clerk’s office, City Hall, 500 George Street, Peterborough, or complete the online application.
Urban Design and Natural Heritage Survey The City has held two Official Plan Update open houses on November 26 and December 5 to discuss the topics of Urban Design and Natural Heritage. Please share your feedback on urban design and natural heritage before December 21, 2018.
Winter Parking Restrictions To assist snow clearing operations, winter parking restrictions are now in effect in the City of Peterborough. From December 1st to April 1st, parking is prohibited on all City streets from 2:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. During a snowstorm, when snow-clearing operations are underway, no stopping of a vehicle is permitted on any city street.
Snofest 2019 Snofest 2019 kicks off on Sunday, January 20 with “Live Outside the Ordinary” at The Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre. The East Peterborough Lion’s Club will host the Mayor’s Pancake Breakfast followed by free public swimming and arts & crafts. A full list of events is available www.peterboroughsnofest.ca
