Corporate Policy

Policy Structure Project

The Chief Administrative Officer’s Office commenced a corporate wide Policy Structure Project in February 2007 to improve the overall management and accessibility of policies. This project includes the development of a corporate framework to categorize and index policy, while providing a mechanism to easily access policy. The implementation of standardized templates will assist each department with the consistent creation of individual policies and procedures. All City divisions are involved in this undertaking, whether by performing a policy inventory for their area or providing information critical to the design of the project. A corporate steering committee monitors project content, resources and progress. The benefits of a corporate policy structure include a central location to store and quickly access policy, improved organization and knowledge of all corporate policies and a platform on which to build and maintain future policy.

As public policies are updated and converted into the new electronic templates they will be
available through this website.
