Councillor Doris asked about the Telus Tower on Crowley Crescent that is being proposed. Mr. Hunt advised that a report is forthcoming at the next meeting of Planning Committee.

Moved by Councillor Martin, seconded by Councillor Pappas

That the 2008 Canada Day Parade be approved as a City sponsored event and be included for insurance purposes.

Councillor Peeters advised that she did not stand to speak tonight as individuals are unable to hear on Cogeco and this is a matter that needs to be addressed.

Councillor Peeters mentioned the Rotary Trail snow removal and indicated that it is in the general sidewalk clearing schedule.

Councillor Vass spoke to the Ontario Clean Water Act. The committee has a stringent meeting schedule to deal with the Source Water Protection issue beginning with a meeting on February 20 in Norwood at 6:00 p.m.; February 25 at Peterborough Public Library, February 28 at Millbrook Arena and March 4 in Lakefield.

Councillor Vass asked when the Places to Grow report would be received. Mr. Hunt indicated that it is intended to have a report in the spring brought forward to Council.
