COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE REPORT NO. 19

MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 18, 2006

TO THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETERBOROUGH FOR CONSIDERATION AT ITS SPECIAL MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 18, 2006

THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE, AS A RESULT OF ITS MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2006, RECOMMENDS AS FOLLOWS:

1. Report PLPD06-073

Sale of Property at 1915 Storell Road

That Council approve the recommendation outlined in report PLPD06-073 dated September 18, 2006, of the Property Asset Manager, as follows:

That a by-law be passed to declare the property at 1915 Storell Road, as surplus to the needs of the Municipality, and to approve the sale of property legally described as Part Lot 13, Concession 14, Otonabee – South Monaghan, to Wayne Davies for a price of $245,000.

2. Report PLPD06-068

Proposed Sale of Property at 1814 Lansdowne Street West

That Council approve the recommendations outlined in report PLPD06-068 dated September 18, 2006, of the Property Asset Manager, as follows:

That the westerly portion of the city owned parcel of land immediately east of Mapleridge Plaza, legally described as Part 1 on Registered Plan 45R-13818, be declared as surplus to the needs of the Municipality and that the property be offered for sale, subject to the reservation of an easement for an existing storm sewer.

3. Report FACLK06-018

Municipal Act Information – Vacant Seat

That Council approve the recommendation outlined in report FACLK06-018, dated September 18, 2006 of the Director of Finance & Administrative Services as follows:

That Council authorize the absence of Councillor Bernard Cahill from the meetings of City Council for the period of July 4, 2006 to November 30, 2006, inclusive.
