City Council

The Council of the City of Peterborough meets on a three week rotating basis, on Monday evenings. The first meeting of this schedule is the Planning Committee, followed by the Committee of the Whole and then City Council. In addition, there are periodic Budget Committee and Audit Committee meetings.

Agendas and minutes are kept of all Council and Committee meetings. From the Planning Committee, Committee of the Whole, Budget Committee and Audit Committee minutes, reports are prepared.

All of these reports must be submitted to City Council for ratification, at which point they can be approved, amended or deleted by City Council. The reports are attached to the Council minutes in which they were considered, so anyone looking for a decision of Council should consult the Council minutes. Anyone needing copies of Committee minutes should contact the City Clerk's office. Please take note that Committee minutes are not the final decision of City Council.

For a schedule of meeting dates, see the calendar below. If necessary, special meetings are held from time to time, and will be added to this schedule.
