Library Study

The Peterborough Public Library is in the process of a renovation and expansion project for the main branch of the library. In 2012-2013, the Library undertook a feasibility study into options for the project. Lundholm Associates Architects were contracted to review the existing building and make some recommendations on expansion options for the Library. The intent of the project is to add programming, collection and administrative space to the main branch of the library.  Following community consultation, the Feasibility Report was released in June 2013.
The Ventin Group developed a design and costs for the renovation and expansion program. Community consultation took place on December 9, 2014 and revisions were made to the plans to incorporate public feedback. City Council approved the design in the Spring of 2015, and construction is now underway.
