Donegal Street Bridge Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Donegal Street, McDonnel Street and Gilchrist Street

The City of Peterborough has engaged G.D. Jewell Engineering Inc. to provide engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Donegal Street Bridge over Jackson Creek, and the reconstruction of:

  • Donegal Street from Murray Street to McDonnel Street 
  • McDonnel Street from Park Street to Downie Street 
  • Gilchrist Street from McDonnel to London Street.

This project is under construction and includes the replacement of sanitary and storm sewers, watermain, construction of a new large storm conduit, as well as the construction of concrete sidewalks along both sides of roadways within the project area.  The preliminary design plans were available for review at a public open house held on Wednesday, February 15 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at City Hall.  The comment period was open until March 1, 2017.
