Crawford Drive and Harper Road Extension and Reconstruction

Following the completion of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment approved by the Province of Ontario in 2014, the City of Peterborough is planning to extend and reconstruct Crawford Drive from The Parkway to the existing Harper Road north of the Canadian Pacific Railway line. Harper Road south of the Canadian Pacific Railway will be re-aligned in an easterly direction south of the rail line to intersect with the Crawford Drive extension. The reconstruction and extension of Crawford Drive and Harper Road will provide improved alignment in relation to traffic geometry, the rail crossing, as well as providing sidewalk and multi use trail facilities.

Conceptual drawings were presented at a public open house held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the former Peterborough Visitor's Centre.

Construction of the road is tentatively scheduled be undertaken in two phases and will commence in early July 2017 and will be completed prior to December 2018.
