Community Consultation

Prior to Council’s receipt of the Lily Lake Functional Planning Study, a community information meeting was held on November 8, 2012 to present the study findings to the public and to obtain public comment.

If you would like to submit comments regarding the Lily Lake Functional Planning Study, you may print and use the comment form found above or provide comments by email, fax or letter to the address at the bottom of this page.

All comments received will be considered as part of the City’s preparation of a Secondary Land Use Plan for the Lily Lake Planning Area. Please note that the comment form distributed at the community information meeting indicates a commenting deadline of November 30, 2012. Notwithstanding this date, comments regarding the study are still welcome and will be accepted throughout the Secondary Land Use Plan preparation and Public Consultation process.

Once a draft Official Plan Amendment is prepared to adopt a Secondary Land Use Plan for the Lily Lake Planning Area, notice of the complete application will be advertised in the local newspapers and posted to the City’s homepage. Furthermore, prior to the adoption of any Official Plan Amendment to establish a Secondary Land Use Plan for the Lily Lake Planning Area, a neighbourhood meeting and a formal Public Meeting at Council will be held. Once a date, time and location is confirmed, notice of these meetings will be posted to the City’s homepage, advertised in the local newspapers, and mailed to all persons that have requested such notice and the owners of all property within 120 metres of the Lily Lake Planning Area.
