Committee of Adjustment

The Committee is made up of five members of the public appointed by City Council. The Committee holds hearings generally the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. The Committee considers a Report from City Staff on each application prepared by and Planning and Building Divisions together with the public input in response to the notice of the hearing published in the local newspaper usually two weeks in advance of the hearing.

Applications to the Committee can be obtained from the planning division or by going to the Planning Forms section of this site. Applications must be accompanied by a concept plan, based on Ontario Land Survey information and an application fee as listed under Planning Application Fees.

For more information you may contact the Secretary to the Committee of Adjustment, Carolyn Jobbitt at (705) 742-7777, extension 1880.
